Kaia Stablecoin Super App Launches Under LINE Next’s Project Unify Targeting Asian Payments
Kaia's stablecoin super app has debuted through Project Unify, a collaborative initiative with LINE Next aimed at revolutionizing Asia's digital payment infrastructure. Unveiled at Korea Blockchain Week 2025, the platform integrates cross-border stablecoin payments under regional regulations, serving LINE Messenger's 200 million users.
The ecosystem features a Stablecoin Orchestration LAYER for issuance and circulation, alongside the K-STAR KRW-pegged stablecoin. This launch follows Kaia's 2024 formation through the merger of Klaytn and Finschia blockchains, positioning it as a key player in addressing Asia's fragmented payment systems.
LINE Next CEO Youngsu Ko emphasized the strategic importance: "We have seen both the needs and the potential of stablecoins." Project Unify combines payments, remittances, and DeFi access through a unified interface, marking a significant step in regional financial integration.
